Contractor terms
Last updated October 24, 2026. These terms apply to companies that receive projects from DFW Quote Desk ("we").
Quoting
- We send you homeowner projects in your trades and area, with a written scope, plus photos when the homeowner sends them. The homeowner's name, phone, email and street address are not included.
- Quoting is free. You give a price or range, what's included, and your earliest start.
- You decide which projects to quote.
Introduction fee
- If the homeowner picks you to meet, you owe an introduction fee of 2.5% of the price you quoted, with a minimum of $75 and a maximum of $500. For a range, the fee uses its middle.
- The fee is set by your quote, never by the final job price.
- We send a payment link for the exact amount. After payment we send the homeowner's contact details and help set up the visit.
- If the fee isn't paid within 24 hours, the introduction goes to the homeowner's next pick.
- Fees are charged from the first introduction and rounded to the nearest dollar.
- We don't store your card. Each fee is paid through its own payment link.
Credits
- If the homeowner doesn't respond to you within 3 business days of the introduction, your next introduction is free.
- Credits apply to a future introduction and are not paid out in cash.
- Losing the job on price or schedule is not credited.
Introductions stay introductions
- For 12 months after we send you a homeowner's project, an introduction fee applies if you are hired by that homeowner for that project through any channel, even if they contacted you directly.
- You may not use homeowner details for anything other than that project.
Your responsibilities
- You are an independent business, not our employee or agent.
- You hold any license Texas requires for your trade and carry the insurance you represent to homeowners.
- Your contract and warranty are between you and the homeowner.
No paying for position
Paying fees never changes which quotes a homeowner sees or the order they are shown in.
Changes, disputes and governing law
We may update these terms and the fee. Changes apply to introductions made after the date at the top of this page. If you disagree with a charge, email us within 30 days of it and we will review it in good faith. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
