Terms for homeowners
Last updated October 24, 2026. These terms apply when you use DFW Quote Desk ("we").
What we do
- We collect quotes for your home project from local companies.
- If you send us a quote you already have, we collect other quotes for the same project so you can compare.
- We put the quotes side by side so you can compare them.
- We introduce you to the 1 or 2 companies you pick to meet.
What we don't do
- We don't do the work, and we are not a contractor.
- We don't inspect, check licenses for, insure, guarantee or vouch for any company.
- We don't promise how many quotes you will receive or how fast companies will respond.
- Quotes are the companies' own estimates. The final price is between you and the company you hire.
- You decide who to hire and sign any contract directly with that company. Before you sign, ask for proof of insurance and any license Texas requires for that trade.
Cost
- The service is free for homeowners.
- Companies pay us a small fee only when you choose to meet them, and that payment never affects which quotes you see or the order they are shown in.
- You don't have to pick anyone.
Your information
The privacy policy explains what we share and when. Your contact details go only to the companies you pick.
Your part
Give us accurate project details, and only send quotes and photos you have the right to share.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for the work, conduct, pricing, schedules or warranties of any company, or for disputes between you and a company. Any claim against us is limited to direct damages, and because the service is free for homeowners, our total liability to a homeowner is limited to $100.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and it applies to requests made after that date. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
