Privacy policy

Last updated October 24, 2026. This policy explains what DFW Quote Desk ("we") collects, who gets it and when.

What we collect

• From the request form: your project description, rough budget, ZIP code, timing, whether you own the home, how many quotes you'd like, notes, your name, mobile phone and email.
• From the quote check form: your project description, ZIP code and city, the total price and scope of the quote you already have, and the quote itself if you upload or paste it.
• From the contractor sign-up form: company name, your name, mobile phone, email, trades, service area, Google Business Profile link, license number, insurance answer and how you heard about us.
• Photos, only if you add them.
• Technical details: the link or ad you came from, the page, the time, your IP address, your browser type, and the wording and time of any consent you gave.
• We don't collect your device's precise location.

Who gets what, and when

• Companies we ask to quote get your project details, photos and ZIP code. They don't get your name, phone, email or street address.
• If you send us a quote you already have, we use it to write the same scope for other companies. We don't send them your quote file or tell them which company quoted you.
• Only the companies you pick to meet get your name, phone number and, if needed for the visit, your street address. We share it only after you pick them.
• How we get paid: Companies pay us a small fee only when you choose to meet them, and that payment never affects which quotes you see or the order they are shown in.
• Once a company has your details, its own privacy practices apply to what it does with them.
• We use service providers to run the site, store records and send messages. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives limited ad measurement data from this site, as described under "Cookies and tracking" below. It doesn't receive your name, phone, email, address or project details.
• We don't sell your information to data brokers or lead buyers.

Text messages and calls

• If you check the box on a form, DFW Quote Desk may text or call you about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.
• Consent is not required to use the service.
• Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
• A company you pick will contact you only after you have picked it.

How long we keep it

We keep your request, any quote you sent and your photos for as long as we need them to handle your request and any introduction, and to answer questions about it. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@dfwquotedesk.com.
• If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to that email.
• Opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, so we can tell whether our ads lead to requests. It records that a page was visited and, after we receive your request, that a request was sent and which form it came from. We don't send Meta your name, phone number, email, street address, project details, photos or quote. Meta may use cookies and information from your browser, such as your IP address and device, under Meta's Privacy Policy. You can manage how Meta uses this information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

We also note which link or ad brought you to the site so we know which ads work. We don't use other analytics tools. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. If you fill out a form inside the Facebook app, Meta's in-app browser may offer to autofill it. That autofill is run by Meta under Meta's own policies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
